December 15, 2020: Former ABSU President Pramod Boro on Tuesday was sworn-in as the new Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Terriitorial Council.



Boro was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua at a glittering function held at Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.



The event was witnessed by over a lakh people from all 4 districts.



Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP president Ranjit Das were among those present at the function.



Along with Boro, Gobinda Basumatari, Diganta Barua, Dharma Das and Ghanashyam Das took oath as Executive Members.



Boro promised to usher in peace and development to the area with support from the state government.



Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that his government is committed to the development of BTR.



Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a slew of development schemes for BTR including a college and a stadium in each of the 40 constituencies and a medical college in Tamulpur.
