November 11, 2020: Only a month before BTC polls, MP Biswajit Daimary on Wednesday resigned from Bodoland People's Front (BPF).



Daimary who worked as the party’s working president sent his resignation letter to party Chief Hagrama Mohilary.



“Having been member of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) from the date of party’s inception, it is now time for me to move on. I am resigning as “Working President” of BPF as on date of this letter as you well know, this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last three months,” he stated in the letter.



“While my aim and purpose remain the same as it has always been from the very beginning to serve the people of my state and country. I believe I am unable to do this anymore within this party,” the letter said.



“To reflect and realise the aspiration of my people and my workers, I believe is the best that I look ahead at as fresh start,” it said.



“I would like to thank you and through you all my party colleagues for providing me with a platform to have served the people,” the letter stated.



Earlier Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to Udalguri stated that MP Biswajit Daimary and MLA Emmanuel Musahary will be joining BJP before the BTC polls.
