August 30, 2020: The Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Guwahati on Sunday became the first hospital in the state to get an exclusive covid care facility for children.

Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma inaugurated a special pediatrics unit-Bagri Children Covid Care Centre at the MMCH on Sunday afternoon. Minister of state for health Pijush Hazarika too was present at the ceremony.

Inaugurating the centre, Dr Sharma complimented the medical team for preparing this 55-bed unit diligently and said this facility has given the capability for children treatment.
