June 2, 2020: In yet another abhorrent incident of mob lynching, a man was beaten to death by a mob at Putoni tea estate in Karimganj on Monday.

The deceased identified as Rubel Miya, who hails from Moulvibazar, Bangladesh has been suspected of entering Assam though the border to steal cows.

Reportedly, another accomplice of his from Bangladesh namely Mulan Munda was caught by the locals who handed him over to the police.

Whereas, Rubel lost his life after been brutally beaten by the mob.

It may be stated that two persons have been arrested from the tea estate in this regard.
