Fake RPF personnel arrested in Barpeta, one tout also arrested by RPF in Dibrugarh

November 25, 2020: On 23.11.2020, Subhash Ch. Deka, Asst Sub Inspector/RPF/Barpeta Road while conducting joint checks at Barpeta Road railway station along with RPF & Commercial staff, noticed one person by name Ful Chan Ali, aged about 22 yrs, R/O. Paikarapara-village, Dhubri- District, Assam in a suspicious manner and detained him.



During the course of enquiries, he revealed as he is RPF staff of New Bongaigaon and produced one fake RPF ID card No  06/23508, dated.15.4.2019, issued by one Rohit Sharma, N.F. Rly.



On further checking, another fake ID card issued in favour of him as Sub Inspector, Crime Branch No. 173, New Delhi by Indian State Police Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. One SBI ATM card, Certificate issued by Jamadarhat Gaon Panchayat was also found with him.



He revealed that both the above ID cards were made by him at Malda town with intent to earn easy money   from public by acting as RPF staff in railways and as Sub Inspector in public.



The said person was arrested handed over to OC/GRP/Barpeta Road under acknowledgement for further action after adopting all the formalities.



In another incident, based on the SDR location data given by Sr Divisional Security Commissioner/Danapur of East Central Railway, RPF team led by Inspector/RPF/Tinsukia conducted surveillance at Dibrugarh. RPF team eventually managed to apprehend a tout accused named Avinash Kumar (Singh), M/21 yrs., S/O- Shri Shiv Kumar Singh, Village- Kharauna, P.O. & P.S - Lalganj, District- Vaishali, Bihar from a market area in the case registered by RPF/Post/Hajipur (ECR) vide Case No. 174/2020 dated 22-11-2020 U/S- 143 Railway Act.​



During the investigation at RPF Post/Dibrugarh, the accused disclosed that he ran a Railway E-ticketing business jointly with his partner Rohit Kumar Mishra (already arrested by RPF Post/Hajipur) at Bedauli Chouk, Vaishali Road Lalganj Vaishali, Bihar. He also revealed that he had used Tatkal Pro extension to book tickets earlier and further interrogation is being conducted in this regard. One Laptop with 02 Nos. of Mobile Phones have been seized from him. He disclosed that due to fear of being apprehended by RPF, he left his place and came to Dibrugarh, Assam two months ago.
