The MLAs of both the parties moved a house adjournment motion for a detail discussion on the Covid issue. But the Speaker denied their request. In protest against the Speaker's action, they displayed placards in the house before staging a walk-out.

Leader of opposition Debabrata Saikia said that health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma had announced to do 1 lakh test and spend Rs 30,000 on every patient. He alleged that after 1 lakh tests, suddenly the health minister now says that there's no fund. He fumed that the Speaker denied them permission for a discussion which was necessary for the greater interest of the people of Assam.

Deputy leader of opposition Rockybul Hussain said that the government collected funds from people in the name of Corona and now is doing politics on it.

Reacting to health minister Dr. Sharma's announcement to stop freebies for Covid patients, the AIUDF alleged that the life of the common people are already crippled by the lockdown for the last 6 months. With no income in all these months, how the people will get treatment is a big question, it said.
