May 19, 2020: The numbers of COVID-19 cases in Assam have risen to 135 as 14 persons tested positive on Tuesday.



Among the 14 new cases, 7 cases have been reported from Kamrup and two each from Hojai, Biswanath and Nalbari and one from Nagaon district.



Informing this State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert - 14 new #COVID cases confirmed. 7 are from Kamrup , 2 from Hojai, 2 from Biswanath, 1 from Nagaon,2 from Nalbari. Total cases now touch 135.

Earlier six cases were detected from Jorhat, Golaghat, Kokrajhar and Nagaon. Meanwhile, four persons have lost their life due to COVID-19.
