May 18, 2020: The numbers of COVID-19 cases in Assam have risen to 108 as two more persons from Golaghat tested positive on Monday.

Informing this State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert ~ Two persons of Golaghat district have tested #COVID19 positive.

Total cases 108

Recovered 41

Active cases 62

Deaths 3

Migrated 2

Earlier the day six cases were detected from Jorhat, Nagaon, Cachar and Golaghat itself. Meanwhile, three persons have lost their life due to COVID-19.

Till now positive cases for COVID-19 have been reported so far from Golaghat, Nalbari, Morigaon, Goalpara, Dhubri, South Salmara, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Cachar, Hailakandi, Nagaon, Bongaigaon, Jorhat and Sonitpur district.
