May 23, 2020: Seven more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Assam on Saturday, taking the total cases in the state to 266.





May 23, 2020: Seven more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Assam on Saturday, taking the total cases in the state to 266.



Reportedly, 6 of the positive patients are from Hojai but they are in Sarusajai quarantine centre now. Another positive case from Dhubri is held at a quarantine centre in Dhubri.



"Alert - Seven people are found to be #COVID19 . 6 of them are from Hojai but are in Sarusajai quarantine centre. One is from Dhubri but in quarantine", said state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.



"Total cases 266, Recovered 54, Active cases 205, Deaths 04, Migrated 03" he added.



Out of total, 205 are active cases and 54 have been discharged.



So far, four people have lost their lives.
