July 7, 2020:  Even though security has been tightened up in many areas due to coronavirus pandemic, Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended one person for cattle smuggling in Mankachar along Indo-Bangladesh border on Tuesday.

The apprehended identified as Anowara Hussain was suspected to smuggle cattle to Bangladesh.  The BSF recovered 8 cattle from the accused. 

It may be mentioned here that cattle smuggling and such other illegal activities are still continuing along the border areas in the lower part of Assam.
