July 20, 2020: Four more patients have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Assam on Sunday, taking total number of deaths to 57 in the state.

The deceased have been identified as Pramod Chandra Sarma (62) from Kamrup (M), Binapani Das (78) from Kamrup(M), S K Wagle (46) from Cachar and Prasanta Saikia (74) from Tinsukia.

Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “In an irreparable loss to four families, I am anguished to share that Sri Pramod Chandra Sarma (62, Kamrup Metro), Smt Binapani Das (78, Kamrup Metro), Sri S K Wagle (46, Cachar) and Sri Prasanta Saikia (74, Tinsukia) succumbed to #COVID19.

My heartfelt condolences.”

On Sunday, 858 patients have been discharged after they tested negative for COVID-19.
