The death toll due to COVID-19 in the state has gone up to 50, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed.



The deceased have been identified as Bidul Ahmed (50) from Baksa and Upen Ch Sharma (63) from Kamrup (M) succumbed to the infection.



Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed, “Disheartening to let you know that we lost two precious lives today to #COVID19.



Shri Bidul Ahmed (50) from Baksa & Shri Upen Ch Sharma (63) from Kamrup (Metro) succumbed to their infections today



My condolences to their bereaved families & friends”.





On Thursday, 666 patients have been discharged after they tested negative for COVId-19.
