November 14, 2020: An Assam braveheart was among the five security personnel killed in Friday's ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Haradhan Rai, a jawan of 59 Artillery Regiment was martyred in the attack.



Rai hails from Medhipara village under Bilasipara Futukibari of Dhubri district. A pall of gloom cast over his home soon after the report of his death reached. His aged mother has been inconsolable since then after losing her only son.



Pakistani troops resorted to multiple ceasefire violations along the LoC from Gurez sector to Uri sector, ahead of the biggest festival of Diwali on Friday. Till last reports came, four Indian Army soldiers and a BSF personal were martyred and four civilians were also killed along LoC in Pakistan firing, according to the Army.



Suspicious movement was observed by Indian Army alert troops at forward posts along LoC in Keran Sector, Kupwara on Friday. This was accompanied by unprovoked Ceasefire Violation by Pak in multiple sectors (Dawar, Keran, Uri and Naugam).
