May 22, 2020: The numbers of COVID-19 cases in Assam have risen to 222 as six persons tested positive in Tezpur Quarantine Centre on Friday.



Reportedly, All of the positive persons are from Sonitpur district.



Informing this State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert - Six persons from Tezpur quarantine centre are found #COVID19 . All of them belong to Sonitpur district.













Total cases 222



Recovered 54



Active cases 161



Deaths 04



Migrated 03

Among the total people infected as on date, 54 have recovered and active cases stay at 161. The number of deaths due to the disease are four and three patients have been migrated.
