October 9, 2020: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi condoled the sudden demise of Ram Vilas Paswan who died on Thursday.



In a statement, the Governor said, “I am really saddened to get the news of Ram Vilas Paswan’s untimely death. It is really great loss to the nation”. A passionate politician, Ram Vilas Paswan was a truly a people’s leader who was a friend to every poor. A veteran politician, he had a great political insight and brought values to the country’s political culture. Being Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, he brought dynamism to the ministry which also served to the need of everybody. Although he had been ailing for sometimes, his untimely death is a great loss which perhaps will be hard to be filled.



 “My heartfelt prayers to the Almighty to give strength of fortitude to the bereaved family members at this testing time. I at the same time pray to the God for eternal peace of the departed soul”.
