May 23, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam surged to 329 after eight new cases were reported on Saturday.

May 23, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam surged to 329 after eight new cases were reported on Saturday.



Reportedly, out of 10 cases, 4 cases from Morigaon, 2 from Nalbari, 1 each from Nagaon, Hojai, Golaghat & Jorhat.



"Alert - Ten new case of #COVID19 . 4 from Morigaon, 2 from Nalbari, 1 each from Nagaon, Hojai, Golaghat & Jorhat", said state Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Twitter.



"Total cases 329, Recovered 54, Active cases 268, Deaths 04, Migrated 03" he added.



Among the total people infected as on date, 54 patients have been discharged while 268 patients are currently active cases.



So far, four people have lost their lives.
