September 11, 2020: A week after of 5 Arunachali youths were abducted, no trace of their whereabouts has been found. They were reportedly kidnapped by Chinese PLA from along the McMohan Line last Friday.



Concerned over their safety, the All Nyishi Youth Association has appealed to both the Centre and the state government to ensure safe return of the youths abducted from Nacho circle of Upper Subansiri district, along the line of actual control.



The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress too has expressed serious concern over the abduction of five youths.



"China’s PLA has responded to the hotline message sent by Indian Army. They have confirmed that the missing youths from Arunachal Pradesh have been found by their side. Further modalities to handover the persons to our authority is being worked out,” Kiren Rijiju, Union minister of state for sports and youth welfare and Lok Sabha member from Arunachal Pradesh, said in a tweet on Tuesday.



However, even after 3 days of his tweet, no reply has come from the Chinese side.



Two members from a group of 7 youths which went for hunting in the jungle on September 3 returned home and informed the families of the other five that they had been whisked away by the Chinese troops from Sera-7, an Army patrol zone located about 12 km further north of Nacho.



Those allegedly kidnapped have been identified as Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri.
