October 25, 2020: The Meghalaya Congress launched the ‘Save Meghalaya campaign’ against the NPP-led MDA Government as CLP leader Dr. Mukul M Sangma believes this campaign is the need of the hour to send a message to the ruling coalition government that “enough is enough.”

Talking to reporters after the Congress Legislative Party meeting on Friday, Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma said, “I would invite the Civil Society Organisations and individuals alike to join me in this Endeavour.”

Alleging the failure of the Government in tackling several illegalities and COVID-19 issues, the state Congress said the campaign has been announced against the ruling government for its “failure to address the ongoing illegalities. The Campaign  also focused on the  unpreparedness of the Government  to tackle the COVID-19 situation, for looting the State and the lack of development and opportunities for the youth.”(Meghalayanews24.com)
